New Jeep Compass announced as hybrid and electric car with a range of up to 650 km
The third generation of the Jeep Compass is here. With three electrified variants, the compact SUV with an iconic look is catching customers.
Jeep presents the third generation of the Jeep Compass with three drive variants: hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric car. The plug-in hybrid is not yet available at market launch, it is to follow later.

With the revision of the Jeep Compass, the third generation in the compact SUV segment is intended to attract new customers and build on the success of its predecessor.
New Jeep Compass 2025 – New design on the exterior
Despite the ongoing electrification, Jeep remains true to its design roots with the new Jeep Compass. With robustness and angularity, the Jeep remains unmistakably a Jeep.
The iconic radiator grille with the seven slits remains as a distinguishing feature in a modified form at the front. The body shape also remains angular as usual and thus offends. However, there are also minor design changes to the lights, bumper and air intakes to carefully modernize the Jeep Compass.
In the profile view, too, evolution instead of revolution was written in capital letters and the main focus was on making the Jeep Compass look a little more angular. Clearly visible in the design lines and the trapezoidal wheel arches.
At the rear, Jeep follows modern trends with an illuminated logo and a large light strip in which the rear lights are integrated. With electrification, Jeep has also put more focus on aerodynamics, achieving a very solid result for a chunky SUV with a Cd value of 0.3.

In terms of performance, customers can choose between the 145 hp entry-level engine as a mild hybrid, the 195 hp plug-in hybrid and three electric variants from 213 to 375 hp. The most powerful electric car version then also offers all-wheel drive as an option for more off-road capability. The all-electric version of the new Jeep Compass is said to have a range of 650 km according to WLTP, and the charging power of up to 160 kW allows the battery to be charged from 20 to 80% in less than 35 minutes.
The new Jeep Compass can also score off-road. A ground clearance of up to 200 mm, as well as a fording depth of 408 mm and increased start, departure and tilt angles, the Jeep remains true to its roots.
New Jeep Compass 2025 – More space in the interior
The Jeep Compass grows in the third generation to 4.55 m in length and thus offers more space in the interior. This is reflected in more legroom, more storage options and also a luggage compartment increased by 45 litres (550 litres in total).
The infotainment has also received an update in the new Jeep Compass. A 10.25-inch digital display and a central 16-inch touchscreen provide you with all the information you need and allow you to operate the vehicle's functions. With advanced assistants and safety systems, the Jeep Compass also offers Level 2 autonomous driving, with optional head-up display, smartphone integration, semi-automatic lane changes and more.

At launch, there will initially only be the mild hybrid and electric car version of the new Jeep Compass. The plug-in hybrid is to follow at a later date. Orders are now possible, with deliveries scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2025.
